From Our Family…
Welcome, friend.
We are so glad you are here. We are the hands and heart behind Vesper Light Post.
This work began with a conversation, though the passion driving it had been quietly burning for many years before. We came into the liturgical world by way of the evangelical church. The steady rhythm of the church year, the consistent teaching of the liturgy and the sacramental worldview were balms to our soul.
The liturgical life was a gift to our family. We’ve spent years now embracing the daily rhythms of Morning Prayer before we homeschool and Evening Prayer after supper. We’ve made a habit of organizing our life around the church year. Over the years we’ve shared the gift of liturgical living with friends, simple because it has been such a gift to us.
Vesper Light Post is the beautiful product of our journey.
When you open an envelope from Vesper Light Post, you are receiving far more than just monthly mail. You are holding tangible, liturgical tools that our entire family—children included—has prayed over, researched, and assembled by hand. From our hearth to yours, we are honored to help you keep the ancient candle burning.
Grace and Peace,
The Hurt Family
