Ancient Light for a Modern Home
As daylight wanes and the evenings lengthen, the historic Church responded to the close of day by lighting lamps and turning its eyes toward the coming of Christ, singing: “O Gladsome Light of the holy glory of the immortal Father—heavenly, holy, blessed Jesus Christ!”
This is the sacred transition from the day’s labor to night’s rest, from noise to quiet, from movement to stillness. It is the very moment for which our work is named.
We created Vesper Light Post out of simple desire to help families cultivate the same ancient, grounding rhythm in our homes. The faith given to us in scripture and by those faithful Christians throughout the centuries, is worth preserving. In a digital age dominated by noise and screens, our goal is to offer a tactile, beautiful way to mark time by the historic Church Year.
Every mailing is anchored by a unique theme and a featured figure from church history. To experience this heritage in your home, we offer two distinct pathways:
The Liturgia Edition: The complete, immersive experience. Each month we curate a physical envelope filled with historic art, a biography and laminated commemoration card, a reflection letter, weekly collect cards, our club sticker, and a special surprise. All is seamlessly tied to the month’s theme and featured church history figure.
The Lectio Edition: A minimalist, theology-focused alternative featuring only the essential texts including the reflection letter, weekly collect cards, and our club sticker.
Whichever edition you choose, it is our prayer that these small, beautiful pieces of our church's heritage will help keep that ancient candle burning brightly in your home today.
